The first four books of the Odyssey are often called The Telemachy, or "the Quest of Telemachus." They recount the story of Telemachus' rise from boyhood to man, as represented in his quest to learn news of his father's absence. In Ulysses, the first Chapter (or the first 3 sections) corresponds to this section of the Odyssey. |
